Malhotra et Thorpe (2004) separated this new, monospecific genus from Trimeresurus spp.. The taxonomical status seems to be confirmed.

Distribution

Malaysia: Borneo (Sabah)

Biology

Lives in submontane forests in leavelitter, between 915 - 1,550 m above sea level. Recorded from the Kinabalu National Park (G. Kinabalut and Crocker Range).
